JOHANNESBURG - Tax revenue collection for 2023-2024 is expected to be over R1.7-trillion according to Finance minister Enoch Godongwana.
He also says personal income tax brackets will be adjusted in line with inflation.
SARS Commissioner Edward Kieswetter explains how some of that money is collected.
Kieswetter said, "in the year that we are reporting on to date, we have been able to resolve almost 1.4 million cases where taxpayers owe debt.... explains how that is done... and that effort collectively in the number that the minister reported will amount to R61-billion that would not have been in the coffers had SARS not done that work."
