JOHANNESBURG - Sun International has announced solid interim results, mostly driven by the expansion of its online gambling sector and robust performance across its gambling and hospitality divisions.
For the six months ending in June, the group's continuing income rose by 5 percent to R6-billion.
Adjusted headline earnings per share saw a 9.1 percent increase.
The company's resorts and hotels contributed significantly to the income growth, with hospitality revenue also rising.
Gambling income, which makes up 77.4 percent of the total, grew by 3.4 percent, demonstrating consistent growth in the sector.
