JOHANNESBURG - A significant average over-recovery on fuel prices could see motorists getting a notable decrease in June.
According to the latest Central Energy Fund data, diesel could drop by at least 90 cents per litre and petrol could decrease by over R1 per litre.
This brings welcome relief, as transport costs are one of the main contributors to local price increases.
The drop will bring inflation down, which is currently sitting at 5.2 percent.
The official fuel prices for June will come into effect this Wednesday.
