JOHANNESBURG - Shoprite, Africaâs largest supermarket retailer, operating over 3,300 stores across Africa has gained record levels of market share in its annual performance.
Its customers also saved over R13.5 billion in Xtra Savings.

This is on the back of the higher cost of doing business owing to unprecedented levels of power blackouts and inflationary pressures on consumers.
Shoprite spent over R1 billion on diesel in the year.
