JOHANNESBURG - Shoprite continues to soar despite the constraints facing South African shoppers.
Group sales surged by 12-percent to R240-billion in the year that ended in June, largely driven by strong performances from Checkers, Shoprite and Usave in South Africa.
Shoprite CEO Pieter Engelbrecht says its supermarkets meet consumers' needs because every move it makes is guided by shoppers' behaviour.
Engelbrecht discussed this with eNCA.
