JOHANNESBURG - Saudi Arabian company ACWA Power will invest in SA's solar energy production.
That's according to the country's Minister of Industry & Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef.
He was speaking at the 9th session of the South African-Saudi Arabia Joint Economic Commission which was opened in Pretoria this week by Trade and Industry Minister, Ebrahim Patel.
The forum's objective is to strengthen investment opportunities in both countries.
"We see great potential on the energy side," Al-Khorayef said.
"Saudi Arabia is very keen on also its own zero targets we have great experience in solar and wind projects.
"A company like ACWA Power is investing in SA in one of the largest solar energy production that will be in operation by next year."
