SA's electricity crisis | 12% price hike another blow for Eskom's customers

JOHANNESBURG - Despite having its worst year of power cuts in 2023, South Africans are bracing for another double-digit Eskom tariff increase this year.

Eskom's more than 12-percent electricity price increase for the 2024/25 financial year started today for Eskom direct customers.

Former executive manager of Eskom and energy expert, Vally Padayachee discussed this with eNCA.
