JOHANNESBURG - Sanlam says that it does not expect the Competition Commission's investigation into the country's big life insurers to reveal any unethical practices.
The insurer does concede though that the probe into possible collusion could bring with it some reputational damage.
The group released results today showing Sanlam's headline earnings slipped by 8% in the six months to June.
Its business was under strain from the KwaZulu-Natal floods, increasing claims from the effects of power cuts as well as inflationary pressures.
It has also warned of potential price hikes in premiums.
