JOHANNESBURG - The sale of the South African Airways to private players has been covered in secrecy since the deal was announced two and a half years ago.
In an unusual move, the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Public Enterprises recently kept the media in the dark during a sitting.

DA member SCOPA Alf Lees says it's unacceptable that the portfolio committee will hold meetings behind camera.
"There is no good reason to hold the committee meeting in secret," he said.
"Secondly, it is in the public interest for the details of this agreement to be made known."
