PRETORIA - As South Africa hosts Angola in an effort to strengthen trade relations, the agricultural sector is feeling the impact of a nearly three-month ban on citrus imports imposed by Botswana.
The ban, according to Botswana’s former President Mokgweetsi Masisi, is aimed at boosting local production and promoting self-sufficiency.
But Agricultural Minister John Steenhuisen says it's affected Botswana consumers.
