PRETORIA - Minister in the Presidency, Khumbudzo Ntshavheni, has held a briefing on the outcomes of the cabinet meeting.
Ministers met amid tensions between South Africa and the United States.
eNCA reporter Moloko Moloto spoke to Ntshavheni with regards to a number of issues and challenges faced by the country.
Ntshavheni also explained how the government got to ban cannabis food products but then retracted the ban.
She said there is an interdepartmental team that is working on drafting new regulations on the selling of cannabis food products.
Ntshavheni says these regulations will be presented before the cabinet then they will be taken for public consultations.

The cabinet has also confirmed that they are in communication with the US with an intension of fixing their relationship that has been in turmoil for the past few weeks.
The fallout between SA and US has seen the trade relations taking a knock as Washington has decided to cut most of their funding to South Africa. The US has also decided to pull out from arrangements to assist the country with the Just Energy Transition Plan.
Ntshavheni says government has managed to get other countries to fill in the void left by the US in the JET investment plan.
