JOHANNESBURG - The body representing four local tyre producers who have applied for anti-dumping levies on imported tyres has not ruled out potential price hikes for motorists.
The Trade and Industry Department published an almost 39 percent anti-dumping levy on imported tyres last week.
The Road Freight Association says the move will push up prices by close to 45 percent and will not help the local tyre manufacturing industry.
