PPC cements recovery in Southern Africa

JOHANNESBURG - Cement giant PPC says its results for the six months to end September has shown encouraging recovery.

The company reported a 20.9 percent increase in revenue to R6-billion for the six months.

Sales volumes were down in South Africa and Botswana, partly due to a weaker economic environment.

But, the producer managed to reduce its net debt in these areas.
