JOHANNESBURG - A public sector strike is looming as unions have rejected a government wage offer which expired on Wednesday.
The Public Servants Association says it is on the cusp of giving government a seven-day strike notice.
It comes as the Reserve Bank this week flagged a steep rise in the number of work days lost to strike action.
Workers rejected government's three percent increase and a monthly R1,000 cash gratuity which comes to an end in March next year.
