CAPE TOWN - Political parties are up in arms over the signing of the Expropriation Act.
The GOOD Party says it is shocked by comments made by Public Works and Infrastructure Minister Dean MacPherson.
McPherson said, "There will be NO expropriation of private property without compensation on my watch.”
The party has now called for MacPherson to resign if he cannot fulfil his duties.

Ramaphosa signed the Act sowing divisions within the GNU.
Parties including the DA and Freedom Front Plus were outraged by the Act.
Freedom Front Plus party leader Pieter Groenewald said the President failed to consult either GNU and the media statement he released is misleading.
Groenewald said they would do everything in their power to have an amendment bill passed, to address the signing of the Expropriation Act.
