PetroSA to partner with Russian bank to jump start refinery

JOHANNESBURG - PetroSA has come under the spotlight because of the exorbitant amount of money it charges Eskom for diesel.

There have been growing calls for PetroSA to be removed as the middle man and for Eskom to find its own bulk diesel supply.

At the same time, Cabinet on Monday approved a partnership between PetroSA Russia’s third-largest bank, Gazprombank, to restart its gas-to-liquids refinery in Mossel Bay.
