JOHANNESBURG - Trade in Multichoice shares has been suspended on the JSE, marking the end of an era.
French medis giant Canal Plus has taken over Africa’s largest broadcaster in a deal worth around R55-billion.
Canal Plus now owns Multichoice and all its subsidiaries, including DStv and Showmax, giving it access to 14-million customers across Africa.
Multichoice was part of the Naspers group and was unbundled in 2019.
