JOHANNESBURG - Beneficiation could be a gold mine for the South African economy.
But, developing nations often produce raw materials and hand them over to developed nations for processing.
Mining experts are calling on government to ensure the country moves away from this practice.
They say beneficiating minerals will create more opportunities and ultimately grow the economy.
But, this is not a new topic, it's been a grand plan for 30 years, since at least 1994.
