JOHANNESBURG - Government is aware of corruption in the agriculture sector.
That's according to Corruption Watch, which has launched a podcast series on land and corruption.
It says some workers aren't being paid wages as per regulations and some are evicted after 40 years of work.
"'Government knows that there have been issues of financial irregularities, mismanagement in some instances," said Melusi Ncala.
"Some of these farm workers are not even paid their dividend or wages as per the agreement they have with commercial farmers.
"Commercial farmers -- in essence -- are supposed to upscale farm workers but in the years that this particular progamme has been rolling out, there's been little to no development in the lives of these farm workers."
