DURBAN - Heavy rains are coming in Kwazulu Natal and have become more frequent due to climate change.
In April 2022 widespread flooding left nearly 450 people dead and destroyed major infrastructure.
Last February, KwaZulu Natal was among several provinces placed in a state of natural disaster.
At least seven people died after the province was hit by heavy rain and a tornado.
21 people died in flash flooding after rains hit Ladysmith on Christmas day and 13 more this year.
Spokesperson for Old Mutual Insure, Lizo Mnguni discussed this with eNCA.
