The jobs emergency | Graduates feel the blow of unemployment

JOHANNESBURG - Stats SA has released the Quarterly Labour Force Survey for the first quarter of 2023.

The youth continue to struggle most when it comes to finding employment.

Statistics for the first quarter of the year show that 16.2 million young people are unemployed.

That's increased by 0.2 percentage points since the end of last year.

Statistician-general Risenga Maluleke says graduates, at times, find it hardest to find work.
