Inflation slows to 4.4% in August

JOHANNESBURG -  Inflation has slowed to 4.4 percent in August from 4.6 percent in July. 

This is the lowest inflation print since April 2021. 

Transport, housing and hospitality declined, while food and beverage inflation rose in August.
