JOHANNESBURG - Good news for the South African economy. There are further signs that inflation is easing.
Headline inflation in May eased to 6.3% from 6.8% in April.
Food inflation is still stubbornly high at 12% but has come down from a record level in March of 14.4%.
Another item on every South African's budget, is fuel.
Fuel inflation came down to 3.5% from 5% in April.
