Household Affordability Index | High cost of living persists

JOHANNESBURG - The high cost of living continues to hit South Africans hard. 

Key data from the July 2024 Household Affordability Index, shows that year-on-year, food prices have gone up.

The Pietermaritzburg Economic Justice & Dignity Group says shockingly, food is bought after monies for transport and electricity have been paid for or set aside.
