JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa will this morning officially open the inaugural meeting of the Group of 20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors under South Africa’s G20 Presidency.
Hosted by Minister of Finance Enoch Godongwana and South African Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago, the meeting will take place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
It aligns with South Africa's G20 Presidency theme of Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainability.
The gathering follows the Finance and Central Bank Deputies meeting which concluded yesterday.
The meetings form part of a series of ministerial and working group discussions scheduled throughout the year ahead of the G20 Leaders’ Summit in November.
