JOHANNESBURG - The Presidency is slamming the inclusion of McKinsey and Bain & Company in G20 discussions.
They were appointed to the B20, which facilitates private sector involvement in the G20.
McKinsey was appointed as a supporting partner to the B20 while Bain & Co has been included in the Project Management Office of the Energy Council of SA.
Both firms have been implicated in state capture and corruption scandals.
The Presidency says while it has no control over the B20, it's urging it to reconsider and appoint more suitable candidates.
It warns the inclusion of the firms may undermine public trust and hinder the promotion of good governance.
