Former Steinhoff CFO, Head of Treasury appear in court

JOHANNESBURG -Former Steinhoff Chief Financial Officer, Andries Benjamin Le Grange appeared in the Pretoria Specialised Commercial Crimes Court.

This follows his arrest on Wednesday by the Serious Economic Offenses unit.

Le Grange has been charged with two counts of racketeering, five counts of fraud, one count of corruption and three counts of the Contravention of the Financial Markets Act concerning the Steinhoff scandal.

Le Grange appeared alongside his co-accused, Stephanus Johannes Grobler former Head of Treasury at Steinhoff.

Grobler appeared in court on 25 March and was granted R150,000 bail.

He appeared again for a postponement and review of his bail conditions.

Le Grange was also granted R150,000 bail with conditions and both will appear again in the Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on 4 October.
