JOHANNESBURG - Finance minister Enoch Godongwana says he's optimistic about the country's finances.
He tabled the medium-term budget policy statement in Parliament this week.

The minister tackled some of the challenges in restoring economic growth and stabilising public finances.
Godongwana says debt service costs are projected to rise at a nominal annual average rate over the next three years.
Meanwhile, 5.2% of the budget will go towards servicing debt.
