Farmer protest in NCape over power cuts

NORTHERN CAPE - The farming community of Douglas in the Northern Cape are taking their tractors to the streets in protest against power cuts.

They say it's having a destructive impact on agriculture.

Farmers say they're unable to harvest properly due to constant power cuts.

The demonstrations come amid warnings of food insecurity due to ongoing blackouts.
