Economist challenges Ramaphosa's statement_byte
JOHANNESBURG - President Cyril Ramaphosa says the country's economy has tripled since 1994.
He made the comments during his State of the Nation Address and repeated them on Freedom Day.
However, Frank Blackmore, a lead economist at KPMG, has challenged this view.
He argues that when considering growth from 1994 to the present, the economy has not tripled, or even doubled, in size.
