The department plans to build four more factories before the end of 2023.

The clothing and textile industry accounts for 14 percent of manufacturing in the country, which translates to over 60,000 jobs.

In Cape Town, over 28,000 people have been hired whilst in Durban about 25 firms supply jobs.
