PRETORIA - South Africans constantly bemoan being contacted by direct marketers, despite choosing to opt-out.
However, Trade Industry and Competition Department is planning to change that.
It has published a draft amended Regulations 4 of the Consumer Protection Act.
The public has 45 days to submit their comments.
The department says consumers are being exposed to intrusive marketing, which has increased over the years.
To discuss this further, DTIC Spokesperson, Yamkela Fanisi spoke to eNCA.
