JOHANNESBURG - South Africa will continue being a part of the AGOA trade deal in 2025.
The US has decided to leave the list of participating countries unchanged.
United States Trade Representative Sam Michel says this follows the Agoa eligibility review. It included a public hearing in July that was chaired by Michel's office.
The list of eligible and ineligible countries will remain unchanged for 2025. The next eligibility review is expected to take place in the middle of next year.
