CAPE TOWN - A 2023 report by the Department of Water and Sanitation warns the quality of South Africa's drinking water has deteriorated. 

The Blue Drop Audit report is released annually and is meant to keep authorities accountable for providing safe drinking water.

South Africans are now turning to purified water, creating a gap in the market for such businesses. 

Manzi Water has heeded the call, and is a growing player in the water supply market. CEO Alfred Challis spoke to the eNCA.
