JOHANNESBURG - Taxpayers are urged to contact the Tax Ombud for any complaints against SARS.
Recently a taxpayer filed an objection against the revenue collector for not allowing an income exemption relating to services rendered outside the country despite submitting substantiating documents.
According to the Tax Ombud’s Systemic Investigation Report of 2020, 31 percent of objections made by SARS were incorrectly invalidated.
Gert Van Heerden from the office of the Tax Ombud spoke to the eNCA.
