Discussion | Restore the Power Grid | Impact of rolling blackouts on jobs and economy

BLOEMFONTEIN - Experts are meeting on Friday to discuss the economic impact of South Africa’s electricity crisis. 

A panel discussion is being hosted by Southern Africa – Towards Inclusive Economic Development or SA-TIED, a program intended to support policy making in Southern Africa.

It will explore how load-shedding disrupted key sectors of the economy.

And looked at strategies to strengthen South Africa’s energy systems in the future.

The Dean of Economic and Management Sciences at the University of the Free State, Professor Philippe Burger will be one panelists.
