CAPE TOWN - Solar is enjoying its time in the sun among South African business and home owners.
GoSolr has published its Light Paper on solar energy for the second quarter of 2024.
It's found that more than 350-megawatts of rooftop solar was added between April and June this year.
Demand has waned somewhat since Eskom has suspended power cuts for more than 130 days.
But, according to the solar installers, consumers are still keen on solar due to exorbitant electricity tariff hikes.
Solar Energy Expert, Wido Schnabel had a discussion with eNCA.
