JOHANNESBURG - Eskom has been keeping the lights on, and now it wants another tariff increase.
It has asked the regulator hikes of 36.15 percent for direct customers.

Those supplied by municipalities could see their bills go up by 43.55 percent.
Energy analyst Mohamed Madhi is not surprised and says there's no need to panic just yet.
"If you look back before the 2023/24 increase, they asked for an increase of 32 percent and they got an increase of just over 18 percent," he said.
