She was addressing National Union of Mine Workers members who are striking over looming job cuts.
NUM is taking Sibanye-Stillwater’s decision to cut about 4,000 jobs to the streets.
The union says the decision is merely a way to maximise profits.
A total of 3,000 permanent mineworkers and 915 contractors face a jobless future.
