JOHANNESBURG - Calls are growing for more items to be added to the basket of zero-VAT-rated items.
This as South Africans struggle to make ends meet as basic living costs outstrip inflation.

According to the latest Household Affordability Index by the Pietermaritzburg Economic Justice and Dignity Group, food prices have increased and will continue to do so.
