JOHANNESBURG - Poultry farmers' feathers are ruffled over delays in approving a vaccination against avian influenza.

Vaccines are readily available, but government has been stepping on eggshells in its approval.

Last year, the country experienced its worst bird flu outbreak.

This saw the price of eggs cracking new highs and leaving many businesses with serious losses.
