Artificial intelligence | What is the demand for AI in SA?

JOHANNESBURG - The demand for artificial intelligence skills in South Africa seems to be on the rise, with many workers recognising the need for significant re-skilling to stay competitive.  

A report by Career Junction's Employment Insights, for Q2 2024 showed a 94-percent increase in demand for AI skills over the past three years.

Despite the growing AI influence in the sector, IT has seen a decline in hiring activity.
