JOHANNESBURG - It is all systems go for the National Economic Development and Labour Council (Nedlac) annual summit which kicks off in Johannesburg on Friday.
The summit comes as the country's unemployment rate surged from 32.9 percent in the first quarter of 2024 to 33.5 percent in the second quarter, increasing the number of unemployed to 8.38 million.
Government leaders, policymakers, economists and civic and union leaders will be attending the summit.
