VBS bank heist | AfriForum to lay criminal complaint against EFF leaders

JOHANNESBURG - AfriForum says it will lay criminal complaints against Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambu.

It accuses the EFF leaders of corruption, fraud and money laundering.

It comes after they were named in a leaked affidavit by former VBS Bank chair Tshifhiwa Matodzi.

Matodzi pleaded guilty to 33 charges and was sentenced to 15 years in jail.

“What we would want the Hawks to do is to follow to money,” said AfriForum CEO Kallie Kriel.

“We believe that there’s enough indications to make a prima facie case of corruption, money laundering against Mr Shivambu and Mr Malema.”
