SRD grants | Many profiles flagged for possible fraud

JOHANNESBURG - Accessing SRD grants still comes with a lot of hurdles for some beneficiaries and this has left The Universal Basic Income Coalition deeply concerned.

At the heart of its worries is the latest move by SASSA.

The agency has flagged some risks of identity theft or fraud.

Payments to these beneficiaries will then have to be suspended until they undergo a complex online biometric verification process.
