Workers at Ushaka Marine World are on strike, demanding salary increases.

They allege top managers have been receiving pay hikes while workers' salaries remain the same.

It is said that the theme park has not been doing well financially over the past few years.

Wage talks between the eThekwini Municipality and the South African Municipal Workers Union reached a deadlock after months of negotiations.
