JOHANNESBURG - The proposed sale of 51-percent of SAA to the Takatso Consortium is off.
Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan has announced that the deal will no longer happen.
He says that this is a mutual agreement by the two parties.

Takatso chairperson, Tshepo Mahloele has confirmed the termination is by mutual consent.
He said, "Takatso therefore confirms that on Friday, 8 March following numerous engagements with the department."
"Takatso can confirm that the department has since reverted consenting to the termination."
"The parties have thus mutually agreed to terminate the shared purchase agreement announced Feb 2022."
