JOHANNESBURG - Labour Minister Nomakhosazana Meth is meeting the management of ArcelorMittal South Africa on Friday.
It comes as the steel giant plans to shut down operations in KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng.

This will put around 3,500 jobs at risk.
The company cites the rising cost of doing business as the driving factor behind the proposed cuts.
