JOHANNESBURG - The National Consumer Commission is concerned about expired food being sold at discounted prices.
The commission says the health of poor and vulnerable consumers cannot be compromised for cheaper prices.

It said suppliers are driven by profit and not the well-being of communities.
Compliance officers discovered the trend after inspections in Polokwane, Seshego, and Turfloop.
The goods being sold included baby food, instant noodles, juices, and tinned food.
