JOHANNESBURG - Electricity Minister Kgosientsho Ramokgopa says the integrated resource plan will soon be presented to Cabinet.

The economy has been hobbled by rolling blackouts, expected to grow by less than 1%.

Small businesses have been bearing the brunt, and South Africans now want to see an end to the 15-year-long crisis.

At the same time, Ramokgopa says it won’t be possible to exempt all schools from blackouts.

Grade 12 pupils began their final exams.

There’s been concerns that power cuts will have a negative impact on pupils.

Ramokgopa, on Sunday, delivered his weekly update on the energy action plan amid the return of rolling blackouts.
